When Replacing Brake Shoes (Drum Brakes), Do You Need to Buy New Springs?

I am going to soon do a brake job on my 2003 Kia Spectra. I was searching the parts store for a price, and I noticed they sell a spring/hardware kit.
Is it necessary (or common practice) to replace these components when adding new brake
It's common practice to replace the springs and hardware when doing a rear brake job. It's one of those better-safe-than-sorry practices, and it usually doesn't cost much for the rear brake spring and hardware kits. See, the old springs will have lost
